1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, submitting content to, or programmatically querying RankSight ("RankSight", "we", "us", or "our"), accessible via ranksight.lol, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.

2. Nature of the Discovery Platform

RankSight operates an automated public software directory, indexing layer, and discovery system. Rankings, trend calculations, and quality scores are computed algorithmically based on publicly verifiable distribution signals, metadata completeness, and time-decay functions.

Rankings, badges, and listings do not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, certification, financial advice, or warranty regarding any third-party software or service listed on the platform.

3. Project Submissions & Intellectual Property

When submitting a software project, URL, logo, product description, or related metadata, you represent and warrant that:

The submitted data is truthful, accurate, and kept up to date.
You have the legal right or fair-use authority to submit such informational metadata.
The content does not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property, trademark, or proprietary rights.

You grant RankSight a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to index, transform, render, cache, and distribute submitted project metadata across our web interfaces, public API, RSS feeds, and machine-readable feeds (e.g., /llms.txt). All trademarks and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners.

4. Domain Ownership Verification

Project creators may verify ownership of their listing using automated domain-level proofs (HTML meta tags or DNS TXT records). Claiming a project that you do not own or manage is strictly forbidden and constitutes grounds for immediate blacklisting and forfeiture of account privileges.

5. Prohibited Conduct & Signal Manipulation

To preserve the integrity of public rankings, users agree not to:

Deploy automated bots, click farms, or deceptive script syndicates to artificially inflate sharing signals.
Submit malicious URLs, phishing portals, scams, malware, or illicit services.
Attempt to bypass rate limits, probe private endpoints, or disrupt platform infrastructure.
Scrape RankSight at abusive frequencies that violate reasonable rate limits.

Signals flagged by our telemetry and fraud detection systems will be invalidated, and offending listings may be de-indexed without notice.

6. Public Data, Feeds & LLMs

RankSight provides structured feeds (RSS, JSON-LD, and /llms.txt) designed for public discovery and AI answer engine indexing. Users and autonomous crawlers may consume these feeds for research and discovery, provided they respect standard robots.txt directives and reasonable request throttling.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL ASSOCIATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY OF THIRD-PARTY METADATA, OR SPECIFIC RANKING POSITIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RANKSIGHT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR RELIANCE ON ANY LISTED SOFTWARE.

9. Content Removal & DMCA Inquiries

If you are a copyright or trademark holder and believe content on RankSight infringes your rights, please submit a notice through our Report Form or email our legal team at legal@ranksight.lol with the relevant URLs and evidence of ownership.

10. Changes to Terms & Contact Information

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of RankSight after revisions constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
