Submission & Quality Guidelines
RankSight maintains uncompromising data standards so that developers, founders, consumers, and AI indexing agents can trust every project listed on the platform.
1. Eligible Project Types
We index functional digital products, developer tools, and technology ventures with an active public web presence.
Functional web software, cloud services, B2B platforms, productivity suites, and consumer tools.
Open-source packages, CLI utilities, SDKs, frameworks, APIs, databases, and dev infrastructure.
Machine learning models, autonomous AI agents, prompt frameworks, and generative toolsets.
Browser extensions, macOS/Windows/Linux software, and mobile apps with an accessible web landing page.
2. Prohibited Content & Immediate Rejections
Submissions violating these rules are automatically rejected or permanently blacklisted upon discovery.
- Malware, Phishing & Exploits: Any website or tool distributing viruses, spyware, keyloggers, or deceptive phishing forms.
- Scam Schemes & Wallet Drainers: Predatory crypto drainers, deceptive get-rich schemes, or Ponzi systems.
- Doorway & Cloaked Affiliate Pages: Low-effort content aggregators with no original software or unique utility.
- Placeholder & "Coming Soon" Only: Inactive domains or landing pages with zero working demo, docs, or functionality.
- Copyright & Trademark Infringement: Unauthorized clones, scraped content platforms, or trademark impersonators.
- Adult & Illegal Content: Explicit pornography, unlicensed gambling, or illicit market services.
3. Submission Quality Standards
Adhering to these standards ensures your project earns maximum Quality Score points (+15 pts).
Provide a clean SVG or crisp square PNG logo (minimum 256x256 px). Avoid pixelated screenshots or cluttered banner graphics.
Describe clearly what the software does. Avoid clickbait slogans (e.g., "THE GREATEST APP IN HISTORY!!!") and excessive ALL-CAPS keyword stuffing.
Accurately classify whether your project is Free, Open Source, Freemium, or Paid. Inaccurate classifications will be corrected by moderators.
Ensure your project URL is live, uses valid SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS), and returns a 200 OK HTTP response.
4. Fair Play & Moderation Policy
RankSight strictly prohibits automated bot networks, paid signal syndicates, or artificial share campaigns. Accounts and listings found engaging in coordinated manipulation will have their ranking power nullified and may face permanent blacklisting.
